Using iPads with Visually Impaired Students in the Classroom

This webinar will focus on using the iPad with VoiceOver and Zoom with classroom applications. The classroom applications for the iPad that will be demonstrated will be iA Writer, Dropbox, Keynote, Calendar, Dictionary!, Safari, Talking Scientific Calculator, and several accessible preschool apps. All apps will be demonstrated with both a Bluetooth keyboard and a Braille display. This assistive technology software is very easy to use and provides visually impaired students the same access to technology as sighted individuals.

After this webinar, you will be able to:
- Determine if an iPad app is accessible or not for visually impaired /> - Use iA Writer with VoiceOver and Braille displays to produce student work.
- Determine the features that make a preschool app accessible for totally blind children.
- Use the first-letter navigation for blind students that is a part of Talking Scientific Calculator.
