The Common Core State Standards, with their emphasis on ensuring that all students are prepared for post-secondary education and career upon completion of high school, challenge special educators to help children with disabilities master the same academic content as their regular education peers. To this end, this webinar presents an overview of the programmatic backbone for a new approach: the Standards-Aligned IEP. You'll hear about a process through which you can meet learners' individual needs and facilitate their progress towards standard mastery by focusing on systematically on components from "Knowing Your Student" and "Creating Detailed Present Levels Statements" to "Developing Standards-Aligned IEP Goals."
