Using the Macintosh with VoiceOver and Zoom for Education

This webinar will focus on using the Macintosh with VoiceOver and Zoom with classroom applications. Step-by-step instructions will be provided on configuring VoiceOver and Zoom for the Macintosh. The classroom applications for the Macintosh that will be demonstrated will be Bean, iA Writer, and Safari. The dictionary that is part of the Macintosh operating system will be demonstrated with VoiceOver. Dictation that is an integral of the current Macintosh operating system will be demonstrated with VoiceOver. VoiceOver assistive technology software is very easy to use and provides visually impaired students the same access to technology as sighted individuals.

After this webinar, you will be able to:
- Configure VoiceOver and Zoom for visually impaired students on the Macintosh.
- Use the keystrokes and gestures necessary use Safari to efficiently browse educational web sites with VoiceOver and Zoom. (The gestures will be demonstrated for the Macintosh touchpad.)
- Use iA Writer for the Mac with VoiceOver and Braille displays to produce correctly formatted work and will then learn how to save this work in Microsoft Word format.
- Use the dictation feature that is an integral part of the Macintosh operating system with VoiceOver and Zoom to easily produce text material.
